Startup Pitches
aiEndoscopic AG | intuBot - an assistive device for easier and safer tracheal intubation. We combine artificial intelligence with robotics to enable assistive or even autonomous endoscopy. We aim for the best patient outcomes and treatment success independent of human performance & skills. Our first application is in airway management: intuBot – an assistive device for easier and safer tracheal intubations. Tracheal intubation is a life-saving process that requires extensive training to become proficient. intuBot is the first device to actively support the user in this skill-based task, allowing less experienced users to intubate successfully and save lives. intuBot has an intelligent system that uses AI to navigate itself using the surrounding anatomy and maneuver accordingly into the trachea. In the following steps, we apply this digital health technology also in other prominent endoscopic procedures., e.g., bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, or laparoscopy. Our AI solution will also simplify those complex procedures, improving the treatment outcome while saving costs. |
Clever.Care Ltd. | Clever.Care enables dramatic improvements in health care collaboration amongst different health care providers, patients and their families by providing a patient-centric care coordination platform that unifies entire care teams across organizational boundaries. We simplify communication by making messaging role-based and patient-centric. We enable smart messaging using a semantic network and we provide structured workflows for domain-specific tasks (e.g. medication ordering) to ensure that the information exchanged is complete. Our solution empowers caregivers, gives back time and provides peace of mind to all. |
Deep Breath Intelligence AG (DBI) | We rethink breath. Deep Breath Intelligence is a Healthtech company unleashing the huge potential of analyzing exhaled breath by applying machine learning algorithms. We provide non-invasive solutions for early diagnosis of diseases and therapeutic drug monitoring — enabling better treatment by precision medicine. Our first product, DBI-EPIbreath®, is a CE-IVDD certified test for drug monitoring in epilepsy. We are working hard today on developing a broad range of products in different disease areas to take future precision medicine to the next level and improve people’s health. |
HEALTHY-LONGER GmbH | The problem which we are addressing is the growing mental health diseases. According to the United Nations, depression will be the no. 1 global disease by 2030. In our view there are two main reasons for this problem: 1. Available therapies have significant limitations such as i) no measurement of neuro-biomarkers, ii) low effectiveness, iii) capacity constraints, and iv) nutrition is disregarded. 2. The significant decline of nutrients essential for mental health in our food is a largely overlooked root cause. With our solution we are addressing those very reasons by measuring and analyzing 21 key neuro-chemicals from dry urine probes taken by the client at home, and, based thereon, by personalizing neuro-nutrient therapies from foods. |
Heart Force AG | Heart Force AG is in the final phase of product development. Market entry is planned for the 3nd quarter of 2024. The next development steps are to be financed from the proceeds of the upcoming capital increase. Qualified investors are offered an exceptionally interesting investment opportunity. |
Siima Solution GmbH | Siima enables modern and active seniors to live longer, safer and more independently in their homes. In doing so, we use existing data sources (such as power- or water consumption or data from smart home devices) and combine them with artificial intelligence to inform relatives or an alarm centre in time in case of an emergency. Compared to existing assistance system of the market, siima does not need to be installed or operated, charged or worn and respects the privacy of the residents. |
Soleil Health | There is considerable scientific evidence to show that many conditions (in particular depression, anxiety, and alcohol and substance use) can be prevented from occurring in the first place. To do that, we offer an engaging digital journey engineered as a platform to offer the users access over time to different and meaningful resources and evidence-based interventions that will effectively address modifiable risk factors and protective factors for mental health. In addition, and as part of this digital journey, we assess each user applying cross-cultural and validated self-report measures (which we aim at combining with sensing data through a research project) to provide the user with tailored recommendations and content to enhance their psychological wellbeing. Our approach is unique in combining data and scalability to make prevention and psychological wellbeing available to everyone. We have currently successfully validated our prototype and are now developing our MVP (to be released in November 2022). |
Spirecut SA | Spirecut is an award-winning Swiss MedTech company founded by surgeon Prof Frédéric Schuind in April 2020. Spirecut offers patented surgical instruments for common hand affections: carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger. The Spirecut technique is a breakthrough in ultrasound-guided surgery. Performed with local anaesthesia in outpatient facilities, it does not result in post-operative wounds. Patients can return to daily activities without dressing covering the operated area. |
Sprechende Bilder | Language barriers hamper communication between patients and health care professionals and have a negative impact on the quality of treatment. “Sprechende Bilder” develops an image-based, language-independent communication aid tailored to the user’s needs. It provides a solution for situations that cannot be solved with hands and feet and those that require professional interpreters. A first prototype was developed for assessment in pediatric emergency care. It consists of a curated collection of over 100 easy understandable pictograms, which are sorted by common triage procedures. This makes the experience very intuitive and easy accessible. First user tests were promising and indicate added value for both patient and healthcare professionals. This visual support tool benefits the quality of treatment, improves patients and health professional’s safety and reduces high costs of interpreters. The concept of the tool is scalable: with appropriately adapted content, it could be transferred to other settings in health care, e.g. inpatient areas of hospital care or institutions for long-term care. Our startup therefor specializes in the user-centered development and distribution of image-assisted communication tools for healthcare. |
